Marianne is a farmgirl from Los Corrales and Monte's owner! She does her best reign in Monte's rambunctious attitude to keep him focused on the job but a girl can only do so much, but don't worry Monte is still considered the best boy there is.

Agave is king of the barn cats and head varmint hunter. He's very strict for a cat and hates playing around while on the job, but Monte is always trying to chase Agave around anyways even when he clearly isn't in the mood for it. They have a love/hate relationship and Agave is usually annoyed by Monte but still holds a soft spot for him.

Bella is another one of Marianne's herding dogs! She's incredibly loyal and responsible, Monte really looks up to for guidance and as a role model. Sometimes Monte can make the job a little difficult for Bella due to his playful nature but she admires his positive attitude and has a closer relationship with him than the farm cats.
