- Scarcity's underbelly is scaled, not feathered.
Quiet and reserved. She has trouble making decisions and doesn't like being in charge—unfortunate characteristics for a queen. Very empathetic and relies heavily on the emotional support of her friends. She is somewhat adventurous and loves exploring the other kingdoms on her continent in her free time.
Second in line for the WoodWing throne, Arboreal was unexpectedly thrust into the role of queen when her mother and older sister died suddenly in an accident. She struggles with the new responsibilities that came with it—particularly the idea of needing an heir(s) to eventually succeed her, as a newly identifying aromantic asexual. In order to escape the pressure of ruling her kingdom, she used an animus spell to adopt a new persona—a StormWing named Scarcity. After appointing a temporary replacement queen, she left to spy on the enemy StormWing kingdom in this form. Unaware of the ongoing lost-fire-breath-gene crisis in the kingdom, she incorporated fire breath into this form as a precaution should she encounter any trouble. When the kingdom's king, Fallheart, took notice of her, he insisted on marrying her, rendering her unable to leave and return to her own kingdom. Currently, she remains stuck as Scarcity in the StormWing kingdom with only her new friend Sterling to comfort her until she can find a way to safely escape.
