Personality
+ Honest, Conscientious, Faithful, Playful
Sandybreeze had been through so much in her life, something her clanmates didn’t fail to notice. She is a very admirable cat for how she’s persevered, from outright dismissive parents to her own best friend and sister giving her disfiguring scars while still an apprentice. Honesty has been a key trait of hers-- being honest, even brutally at times if called for. Despite this, she has always been a conscientious cat since she could speak, never wishing to make another feel as inferior as she had her entire life. Sandybreeze is a loyal, kind-hearted friend and confidant, always seeking out ways to make those around her feel more comfortable--something she always wished others would do for her. Despite her grueling life, she has maintained that kitlike playfulness that continues to help her out throughout the hardships of life, keeping joy and optimism alive in her beloved clan.
= Soft, Dreamy, Emotional, Maternal
One reacts differently to trauma, and the sisters couldn’t be a better example of it. Desertsnarl hardened, whereas Sandybreeze softened. She never had much of a fire burning in her, choosing to make others happy than knowingly inflicting misery. She has a tendency to “check out” of reality, so to speak. As a trauma response she will create a gentler, more alluring reality to live in if her day to day life starts becoming consistently negative instead of the positive she consistently aspires for. Sandybreeze is quick to become emotional, usually against her own wishes, tears will spring to her eyes before she can decide what she’s truly feeling. Taking everything to heart, no matter if it truly is her fault or not. Despite it all, Sandy has a more maternal outlook, taking it upon herself to nurture those around her--especially wayward kits that may feel like they don’t belong in the clan, much like she had once. She dreams of having a big, happy family one day, where love is overflowing, not scarcely found.
- Agonizing, Easily Discouraged, Fawning, Obsessive
Overthinking has always been a negative trait of hers, ever since she was a kitten. Agonizing daily about what she was doing wrong and how she was driving her parents away. Never stopping to consider that they might be the reason till much later in life. She will agonize over things out of her control till she's sick to her stomach. Due to the traumatic fight with her littermate, and outright dismissal by her parents, Sandybreeze has become extremely obsessive. When another cat shows her any positive attention, she latches onto them for dear life. She is quick to use flattery to attract potential friends and love interests; it is almost impossible to snap her out of her obsessive tendencies once engaged. Passive aggressive comments will eat away at her courage till she feels she can no longer be a part of their life and simply disappear. Sandybreeze is easily discouraged, believing she is wrong more often than she is right. All of these insecurities she hides best that she can, putting forth her happy façade every waking moment.

- His family (besides Mushroomshade)
A lithe, long-legged feline who bores an uncanny resemblance to her sister, Desertsnarl. She is well-muscled but not in a bulky sense, more built for speed than combat. Her long legs enable her to climb efficiently and stalk prey silently through the undergrowth. Also keeps her at the front of any patrol when it comes to speed. Sandy has a gentler, softer face than that of her sister or mother, with a rounded jaw and cheeks. She has large doe-like pine green eyes with one side laced with several criss-crossing scars. Hidden mainly under a dark silky tuft of forelock she’d purposely groomed in such a way to hide the unsightly scars. One scar hooks over the bridge of her nose. Then the scars begin again on her shoulder and stretch half-way across her chest. Short sandy colored fur, with white/cream highlights on her toes, chest and hindpaws just before the dark umber color. Tabby stripes of varying umber colorations stretch from her muzzle to the tip of her tail, then along all four protracted limbs.
Kithood
Cobrakit and his sister, Mushroomkit, were the result of one night of passion between two RiverClan warriors, Murkyfur and Mossflower. It was clear to the tom from the beginning that something was... off about his parents. They never spent time together and whenever interacting with their kits, they did it seperately. The other queens in the nursery would spend time dotting on their mates whereas Mossflower seemed to geniunely dislike Murkyfur. In all honesty, Mossflower didn't seem to like her own kits.
She was always watching the patrols leave with a look of longing and bitterness. As if it were her kits faults for keeping her hostage in camp. His father never seemed ill at ease around his kits, as if he was trying to make up for their mothers evident hostility. Cats had been disappearing since before was born, and lately monsters have been appearing in their territory tearing up the riverbanks. Cobrakit was kept close to the nursery, Mossflower was always pacing, her fur bristling. News of Gorseclaw--brother of their leader, Hawkstar-- untimely demise seemed to bring a black cloud over the camp, engulfing them all.
Cobrakit tried to comfort Mushroomkit but never knew how to. He felt weak and useless, and judging by how their mother would hiss at them for simply asking questions, they were also unwanted. To make matters worse, his half-siblings Pondfoot and Bogbones would glare at him whenever they unwillingly ended up in the same area of camp with him. As if it were his fault for being kitted. Murkyfur was the only one that would go out of his way to show his beloved kits comfort, promising everything will be okay.
Despite the soothing words, Cobrakit could smell the overpowering fear scent seeming to flood off his fathers tabby pelt. Even though Cobrakit knew his half-siblings didn't like him, he loved them for simply being his blood. He would follow them around camp, trying to believe somewhere deep down like Mossflower, they loved him back. He worried constantly for his father and half-siblings safety whenever they left camp. Afraid they would either get taken by two-legs or murdered by the monsters swarming their territory.
Apprenticeship
Cobrapaw and Mushroompaw were apprenticed once they turned six moons old, and he is set on proving he was a valuable warrior to his clan, spending every waking moment trying to improve his skills. Hunger grips his clan, and his pelt--usually thick and sleek-- now clings to his frame, showing the shape of his ribcage. In the midst of all the starvation, cats are still going missing and now monsters have begun to tear up the banks in RiverClan territory. Hawkstar and Gorseclaw fell into the river during this invasion of two-leg monsters, costing the leaders brother his life... Cobrapaw can taste the fear radiating off his clanmates, terror piercing his own heart, without a clue of how to handle this unexpected change.
At the next gathering, all the clans have begun noticing coyote and badger sightings in. The leaders suspect it's due to the increase in two-leg activity. Cobrapaw agrees strongly. ThunderClan mentions their medicine cat has recieved his full name, Cobra didn't bother paying attention. To choose a life of medicine over hunting and fighting is unfathomable to him. Tempers are flaring with the lack of prey, causing tensions between clan cats and rogues alike. Loners caught on RiverClan territory were met with tooth and claw, something Cobrapaw desperately wished he'd been apart of.
Hawkstar was poisoned by the RiverClan medicine cat, Freckleshimmer, casting her out of the clan for her betrayal. Cobrapaw couldn't believe what he was hearing and growled with fury at the meeting. Silkypaw then became Silkyflower, full medicine cat of RiverClan. Stepping up to take on the responsibilites left behind by the apparently calloused murderer that was their former mentor.
Warriorhood
(12-18 Moons)
Cobrapaw and Mushroompaw had completed their warrior training, earning their names-- Cobrastorm and Mushroomshade alongside Mudlark who'd completed their training as well. Turns out Freckleshimmer was framed by none other than Vixenshadow who'd also been behind multiple other deaths and mutilations. Cobrastorm was beyond furious with the news. Their medicine cat was reinstated as the healer of the clan, while Vixen was sentenced to death. She was slain merely days later. Something Cobrastorm was very happy to hear. The next series of events would leave him floundering. Ospreyswoop, his mentor, and Pondfoot, his estranged half sister, were expecting kits!
Kits of all things! He knew they were beginning to court, but this?! He was beside himself with fury, and ignored any attempts of conversation initated by his former mentor. He wanted to talk to Pondfoot first, she was truly the one the owed him an explanation in his eyes.
