Persephone

Persephone is one of the two surviving members of the Charmeine family. Her younger sister, Elysium, is the other. The rest of their family was wiped out during the undead invasion. As it would happen, the rest of their town was wiped out as well. Sometime during the struggle to escape, Persephone lost Elysium and the two have only recently reconnected.

Persephone was an odd child. She rarely bled, breathed, or ate/drank when she was younger. Her heartbeat was also abnormally slow. She frequently wondered if she were unknowingly a part of the undead scourge that’s recently begun to plague this land. Many times, she would stay up late and ponder her existence. She even tried calling out to the Watcher of Death herself, but never received a response.

Because of the hardships that she endured over the course of her life after her family was wiped out or lost, she began to lose faith in humanity. She grew to resent people and their ideals of normal. This led to her eventual fall from grace. She began searching deeper and deeper into the meaning of her abnormalities. She eventually made a pact with the only being she found that would acknowledge her, an Undying. She studied her warlock tutorings very hard.

After believing herself ready to fight against the undead abominations, she set out to fight them. She came across a wandering zombie and struck it down with a hidden, innate magical power. It was then that she discovered the reason for her oddities. She had bloodline magic. She began to explore this deeply and took a step back from her warlock training. She can feel her bloodline power strengthening with every undead that she slays. She knows this is her correct path and will stop at nothing to fully define herself.
