I don't 100% remember his story,

But I think it was something along the lines that he lured his fellow apprentices to a fox and watched them be tore apart by a fox. I think they pissed him off in some way.

But then he got extremely sick and in his dazed sickness he took and walk and didn't smell the fox roaming close to him and in turn got torn apart by the same fox.
