Short bio: Parents went to fight overseas and never returned, leaving Nier to raise his sister for 5 years. Worked as an apprentice blacksmith for several years to keep them afloat. One day, village is raided by vampires, most people flee or are slaughtered. Nier gets bit on his arm protecting his sister, but she is still killed. He attempts to stop himself from turning by painstakingly cutting off his arm, still ends up turning. Works as a mercenary after this, eventually shifting to monster hunting.
