When she was new at school she was bullied by some students because she was a loner and refused to spend time with people.
The other students thought she was arrogant due to her dismissive attitude. The reason why she behaved that way was because of her parents, since childhood she was taught that "relationships with creatures under their position" was "beneath their dignity". But also she wasnt very keen of befriending with other vampires as well, in her opinion they all seemed to be corrupt and her family wasnt a good example too. So she decided that staying away from just everyone would be a good solution. She never had any friends anyway so she wont miss that.
She changed her mind after she met Valentin who was at first pretty instrusive and anoying to her but helped her to become more confident. She also met the others of Valentins group and later in time she would become friends with them and join their group.
They are more family to her than her actual family ever was, her parents spent more time with their work than with her. The only other person she had a bond with in her childhood was her nanny. Also she tries to be not toooo biased with others anymore but sucks at it. Sometimes she thinks her friends are just exceptions confirming the rule..
Although she found new friends and got at least a little more trust in other people she is still sceptical with strangers and always prepared to see the worst side of them.
Her parents hate her relationships she made at school but she dosent care for their opinion.

Of course her parents dont know about her shady business at school which she got when she joined the group of Valentin. She was never forced to join that group. She just wanted to be with her friends...and shes a shady person actually soooo. Also her parents dont know anything about her plans to marry Joel after graduation. Theyd kill him if they'd knew.

✦ Backstory

She lived with her parents and their servants in a huge property. Her parents were very strict and had like no time for her. Instead of by her parents she was raised by a nanny and taught by serval tutors. They were supposed to make a lady of her. Often she felt lonely and spoke to a stray cat or her toys. Her nanny was the only one who spent her comfort but sadly she got fired after her parents came home from a business trip and found the stray cat inside the house.
