Seawitch is the designation they claimed for themselves after being stranded on an alien planet for many years. Left and presumed dead when their exploration ship suffered a minor explosion before it could land and they got sucked out. They lost both their legs in the fall and did the best they could to patch things up while they waited for rescue.
Unfortunately, the crew they went with never returned. They grew resentful, mostly towards the scientific community, and thinks they got left behind because of competition.
It has been years and they busied themselves with studying marine life. Becoming very facinated with all the unique creatures and their habitats. It inspired them to change their prosthetic legs to a more permanent tail. They mostly live in the ocean and made a whole underwater base for themselves.

The closest thing to frenemies. They had been fighting over shared space for so long that it became kind of like a bonding thing for them. Occationally, they do like to trade and talk over robo tea.
