Cassie is kind, hardworking, and earnest, but far too awkward and blunt to easily make friends. She considers herself plain, and thus conducts herself like a member of the background. She's simple, and she thinks simple thoughts -- and she's...okay with that, for the most part. Her brother's always been the protagonist anyway, and not everyone can be a hero -- or who would be left to save?

She's doing her best to live truthfully, despite knowing she's rather disinteresting (at least in her own mind.) She likes pokemon, beaches, sunrises and sunsets, being smiled at, and comfortable clothes. She dislikes outward cruelty, winter, being singled out, and having to duck out of the way of things (she's 181cm). Despite this all, she isn't very sure of just who she is. Who is Cassandra Highwind without Helenus?

The Highwinds are a normal family. Cassandra and Helenus were born twins to their middle-lower class parents and raised together every day of their life. The two were inseparable, spending every minute of every day together. You couldn't find either Cassie or Len without each other -- the two raised their first pet together, walked to school together, fell asleep together. Even their personalities complimented each other; Len would do most of the talking, while Cassie would handle the cleanup.

From a young age, the two would take up music as a hobby. Len was always more passionate than Cassie -- but it never stopped her from putting in her own half of the work to learn whatever duet Len would set in front of her. The two grew as performers together, putting on karaoke shows for their dads and eventually taking their small town middle school talent shows by storm.

All good things must come to end; sometimes they aren't even that good to start with. Growing up always in someone's shadow and relying on someone to pick up after you aren't exactly foolproof strategies at life. After a huge fight, Cassie and Len decided to go their separate ways for a while. They're...taking a break from being twins, and trying to be individuals for a little while. Cassie, in a rare show of independence, packed up and left her family's ranch to find work (and herself) elsewhere.

Cassie's joined Team Heartbeat in the hopes of nurturing her confidence and sense of individuality, and as a non-combatant/field operative. She's just...here to take care of the pokemon, that's all. It's what she's good at. She's hoping to meet a few more friends too, even if the average attractiveness of the members intimidates her to no end. She's a bit plain compared to the rest of them, and much shyer, too.

She isn't fully familiar with the tactics Team Heartbeat uses, but she's naively believning that it's for the best. No one tell her she's been aiding a hostile takeover filled with bribery, espionage, and theft, please. Or...do, if you're willing to see her break down.
