A supporting character in my webnovel Tales of Virtual Shopkeeper.
The ghost of a 12-year-old girl who was murdered while playing Utopia Online (the world's most advanced VRMMO), Mayoi is forced to spend the rest of her "life" trapped inside the body of her in-game avatar. She resides in the storage-closet of Yuu Watanabe's shop, acting as a zashiki-warashi (housebound spirit said to bring good fortune).
