Len is a personable, determined, and ambitious, but far too single-minded to see the big picture. He considers himself a hero in the making, and conducts himself as a member of the main cast of life. He's not intentionally arrogant about it, but he's a big figure with a bigger personality who doesn't always see the shadow he casts; Len doesn't know how to save what he can't see.

He's doing his best to live intentionally, despite not knowing much about how he's impacted the lives of others. He likes music, guitars, summer, and orchestral music. He dislikes being ignored, powerlessness, spring (allergies,) and when people won't let him hold doors for him. Despite it all, he's not very sure of just who he really is, compared to who he thought he was. Without Cassie as a mirror, just who is Helenus Highwind?

A friendly guy who grew up on a ranch. He enjoys music, hanging out, and pokemon battling among other things. He's always been more interested in performing than anything else, but enjoyed a happy home life with his twin sister, Cassie. Charismatic, driven, and gregarious.

The Highwinds are a normal family. Helenus and Cassandra were born twins to their middle-lower class parents and raised together every day of their life. The two were inseparable, spending every minute of every day together. You couldn't find either Len or Cassie without each other -- the two raised their first pet together, walked to school together, fell asleep together. Even their personalities complimented each other; Len would do most of the talking, while Cassie would handle the cleanup.

From a young age, the two would take up music as a hobby. Len was always more passionate than Cassie -- but he mistook what was her complacency for her purpose. The two grew as performers together, putting on karaoke shows for their dads and eventually taking their small town middle school talent shows by storm.

All good things must come to end; sometimes they aren't even that good to start with. Growing up always in someone's shadow and relying on someone to pick up after you aren't exactly foolproof strategies at life. After a huge fight, Len and Cassie decided to go their separate ways for a while. They're...taking a break from being twins, and trying to be individuals for a little while. Len, in a rare show of humility, stayed home at their family's ranch to reevaluate a little.
