Profile

Born a noblewoman's daughter in the 14th century, Sera was most often cared for by her servants than her parents, especially as she turned more and more sickly. As she became less expected and able to provide a healthy heir to their family or a lively wife to another, Sera was practically disowned. As she struggled with her regular sicknesses, she found much comfort in Giold, who saw to her needs and gave her hope for her future. They grew close, like father and child, and Sera lived with a bittersweet reality that he would take his final bow after his dance with death within just a few years.

As Giold himself found himself near unable to care for himself and Sera both, he gave in to the ticking of time, poisoning Sera's medication, killing her before seeing himself off. Dying much too young at 20. Sera lives on for her dream of a fulfilling life, forever unforgiving of Giold for taking it from her. After some centuries, she felt her dream was achieved, attempting to move on by shattering her vessel from a fall from the roof of what became a hospital that harbored new spirits like her. In her talk with death, though, he assured her, she could feel even more fulfilled. See more life than she'd dreamt in her own time. And so, she continues to wish Death well when he passes the halls.

Eventually, Sera took up a hobby of spectating the living, most often in the emergency units to try and guess who had died. From illness to injury, she came to find it fascinating how things changed in the world, and how they always failed those who needed it most. Eventually, she witnessed a young man fight and fight in surgery, though he ultimately was lost. It was beautifully horrifying, seeing his spirit create itself a new life. She rarely saw them come back that fast, often turning to raw spirit energy that the asthmatic boy would collect and nurture into form. This time, she would see a life fulfilled in its after.
