Hikari Kuromori

As for Hikari, she is a half-breed. Her mother a human, and her father a Jotun. Her father is a blacksmith, so growing up, Hikari spent a lot of  time around weapons. While not the same skill as her father, she has show some skill with the forge, but her true talents lie in her archery.  Hikari never knew her mother as she left shortly after she was born.  Hikari’s father seldom speaks of her. She hopes to one day find her  mother and find out why she abandoned them. Despite being a half-breed,  Hikari has experienced little harassment. As a result she is highly ignorant of the discrimination between various races outside of her village. Hikari meets Ventus when he travels into town seeking her father’s services and leaves with him in hopes of finding her mother in spite of her father’s wishes for her to stay.

Hikari tends to keep to herself until she is familiar with people.  Spending most of her life in her home village she is very ignorant to life outside her home. Her training as a blacksmith and archer has rewarded her with self-discipline and patience. However, despite her skills she often compares herself to her companions and feels inadequate. As a result, she is very dependent on them, only growing into a more independent individual as she is confronted with adversity that she must face on her own. In these challenges she discovers an inner-strength she did not know she had. People would describe her as a very calm and gentle individual. Hikari has a strong faith in humanity, always seeing the good in people, even when it is not there. She refuses to kill people on principle, believing it to be wrong, but doesn’t look down on those who have taken life for justified reasons. However, she was forced to break her code when faced with the choice of killing or losing her beloved.

She is easily embarrassed when people compliment her.
