Qulu Wordsworth

Qulu is the child of a disgraced Lord of Waterdeep found guilty of public corruption. Placed in an orphanage under the care of glyphscribes, Qulu spent their formative years surrounded by books and scriptures. Once or twice they've been called a prodigy by their caretakers.

At age 7, Qulu officially entered service under the Church of Deneir. By 15, Qulu was given the honor of being assigned as one of the keepers for their temple's library. They would have been contented to serve Deneir in this humble fashion, but fate has other plans. While poring over an old piece of elven literature one afternoon, Qulu suddenly experienced a seizure and was rendered unconscious for three days. When they woke up, they were convinced it was a sign that they acquired Deneir's favor. Despite the wall of skepticism they faced, Qulu set off on their own journey to unearth a forgotten piece of knowledge they could present to Deneir.

My first DnD OC. They were initially meant to have the personality of a character like, say, Heine and FGO's Andersen. After the first session, it became clear they were actually the relaxed, but devious type. They are idealistic, but what would happen if that idealism is taken to the extreme? I suppose that's how my first DnD OC became the antagonist.
