Marty

This Scout is one of the most important individuals in the Cognizant Labs. Marty is a skilled maintenance and repair man, usually at Qwerty's beck and call. He doesn't have much of an office and is run to many floors in a day, but he keeps everything as smooth as a building full of Cogs could be. Of course, he isn't the only maintenance worker for all 100 Lab floors, but no one else has a speaker system installed directly into their room.

He cherishes every day off where he can go home and take a gosh darn minute to himself. He wears a wedding band but no one has seen his wife, whom many believe to not be real. He seems to have taken up a mentor role to Qwerty, with him occasionally being summoned to hear her go on an in-depth media analysis of a show she's recently watched. Marty seems to have a potent anxiety disorder exacerbated by espresso coffee.

While his wife is a social enigma, Marty holds a deep connection with his friend and roommate: Carpal.  They both originally hail from Europe and their small villa, located in the Capital near the Labs, is a mixture of pastoral and modern American comforts. There is only one bed.

Shockingly, he is a licensed small-plane pilot and a vintage car enthusiast; however, he refuses to drive or ride in any car. Rumor has it he will start crying.
