They have known each other almost all their lives. They met somewhere in Highschool where they both were kind of the outcasts of the class.
Until they became a couple they’ve had lots of problems to solve together. Starting with the fact that shadow was too afraid to do the next move in fear of ruining what she has with Rudy who was her only friend at the time. She’d go out dating other people trying to figure out her feelings or even trying to get rid of them. She would never actually like the people she was dating for short periods of time. Usually seeing them as a waste of time but still not giving in to her true feelings for Rudy.
