My player character from my current dnd campain ^__^

Terry is the definition of Just Some Guy, contentedly living his painfully average life as a bus driver in Delaware. He lived in an apartment with his cat, Valencia, until some random Wednesday on which he was struck by a bus and killed on his commute to work.

Unbeknownst to Terry, his death was witnessed by an angel, GB, who had come to Earth for the first time only a few minutes prior. GB, who had always taken an interest in mortals and had never seen anything die before, was so horrified by Terry's violent and sudden death that GB vowed to do his best to bring Terry back to life.

Terry, still dead, is now in a competition in the afterlife with a number of other departed souls across numerous different planes of existance, all vying for the oppertunity to come back to life. Luckily, he is on a team with four others- one of whom is GB, who helps Terry by providing angelic magic.

While he has always been a bit anxious, things have been made much, much worse by dying and being in the afterlife surrounded by monsters, magic, and other horrible things Terry could have never dreamed of. Despite it all, Terry tries his best and is determined to get back home. He is a pacifist, refusing to kill and avoiding conflict when he can. After all, he is Just Some Guy- he doesn't want to kill, and doesn't even really like using magic at all. But being nice and a pushover hasn't gotten him very far, and it might be time to choose a new approach...
