Chervilwing had always wanted to be a teacher, specifically a mentor. But he knew that he would never be destined for it, what with being neglected by uninvolved parents and for his ever-growing short temper. And yet, just one moon ago (at 23 moons old!) Shellstar gave him a chance to be a mentor, giving him his own apprentice, Lemonpaw.

Lemonpaw is quite the skittish fellow, quite a nervous wreck (although Chervilwing would never say this to him). The young tom is an excellent apprentice... or rather, he would be, if he was willing to leave camp and go to the training hollow. He's been an apprentice for 1 moon and still refuses to step into the forest! Chervilwing tries to remain patient with him because he knows he owes it to the apprentice that he even has a chance of teaching.
