A growing boy with a lanky stature, Tristan stands at that awkward stage in life of almost entering puberty but not quite. His raven-colored hair falls in choppy sections about, side bangs being the longest in length while the locks in the back are just a smidgen shorter. Lively purple eyes shimmer with bright enthusiasm (and I mean very bright, as in Hex Code #9457EB bright); a small mole can also be found underneath the corner of the left eye.

Tristan dresses extravagantly with minimal regards to how ill-suited the outfits are for traveling. His style leans into gothic prince, coupled with heeled boots just for that extra lift in height.

A stubborn fool with a know-it-all attitude, a mere glance at Tristan reveals the young boy to be a spoiled brat with little to no real life experiences. His tendency to seek attention and compliments makes him a somewhat obnoxious companion. Above all else, Tristan strives for self improvement, constantly seeing the need to prove himself lest the world around judge him.

That being said, he is still a child at heart. From interlacing his speech mannerisms with fancy-sounding words (that even he knows not the definition of) to his reluctance to ask for assistance from others, all this is but a front he exaggerates to seem more like an “adult”. Hell, the majority of his team was caught or befriended based on how cool-looking the pokemon was.

Spoiled and doted on since birth, Tristan was previously an only child of the Valentina family. Life pivoted when he turned 7 years old. His father brought an older boy named Micah, a child from a former marriage who came under his care due to the death of his previous wife. Adjustment was difficult for Tristan. Prior to Micah, the center of attention had always been him, and now it'd been split. Needless to say, Tristan became a hassle to deal with.

It wouldn't be until an event where Micah saved Tristan from a Fearow did the young boy finally open his heart. Micah's patience paid off, and the two grew closer as siblings — not that Tristan still didn't have his moments. Having toned down from his original behavior, his parents decided it'd be a nice change of pace to allow the boy to experience the world. He'd always asked them, but only now did they truly feel he could leave the nest without worry.

Currently, Tristan travels with a team of six. Pangoro was given to him by his brother to act as a chaperone of sorts, often babysitting both Tristan and his other pokemon. Houndour would be his 'starter', while the rest were all caught along his journey.
