Kyran is quiet and perceptive, but proud, having been raised by his Solaius mother, and as such being very experienced in reading body language. Because of this, he is hard to deceive. He is generally calm, but can easily become defensive towards perceived threats. However, he is less superstitious than other Solaius, recognising that the unknown is not necessarily the evil they think it is - he is welcoming towards outsiders. He lives on the edge of Helmyre, in the Salt Lands, hiding in order to ensure that no other Solaius find him. Despite this, he has become friends with a melanistic Solaius called Eervus, who he is now very close with. 

On his Caedric side, he is quite durable, able to withstand more hits than a pure Solaius could, and his fluffier fur gives him more protection from claws and fangs. On his Solaius side, he shares the ability to make plants grow and manipulate them, though this may be in part due to his crest. He, however, has not retained the ability to drink saltwater and brack, and has to use the spell 'Clear Touch' on a bowl of water in order to drink it, or travel to one of the freshwater streams. Equally, he cannot clot his blood in the way Caedrics can.
