Targin has a rugged beauty to him, and is a hit with the ladies. Despite his charming smirk and the fact that he has everyone head over heels for him, he's a loner and quite awkward, and for unknown reasons refuses to take a mate, despite not travelling often. However, this is due to him having a secret love for one of his few friends, Bastis, who he feels he can't come out to, and knows their relationship would be frowned upon. He is easily tired by social interaction, and it is only this love of his that he will tolerate at times when he is particularly burnt out. He is distrustful of most species, including many laterites in his own species due to an unknown event in his childhood, and this issue has not been helped by the slaughter of so many twilights at the paws of Isyerim, including his parents. He was away during this time, and enslaved for a while after he got back, until he'd proved himself trustworthy. He longs to leave the Citadel with his friend, but feels that, for their safety and to honour those who have fallen, they should stay. He has recently joined a secret allegiance that wants to overthrow the Jarl.
