Dr. Aimé Daizomes

A French doctor specializing in infectious diseases, trying to bring the 1870s into the modern era of sterilization and microbes. Currently working on the cholera vaccine, he's at the forefront of his field, but his methods have left him with few real supporters, though his collegues can't deny the validity of his results.

One night he encountered a strange beast, only to find that form temporary, leaving a man behind. While undeniably medically interesting, he finds Henri too charming to cut into him.

But when war breaks out and breaks the fragile peace he had built for himself he joins the war effort, not out of any particular loyalty or sense of patriotism, but to refine his new vaccine on prisoners of war.
