The wickedness of others becomes our own wickedness because it kindles something evil in our own hearts.
KEEP IN MIND..
- Devil can shapeshift! Go wild.
- No NSFW is allowed. I'M A MINOR!! GET OUT!!"
- She is very uncanny and snappy in movement.
- They have bug-like torso anatomy. Yes, her arms are actually like void sticks.
- When Devil doesn't have their crown on, they are kinder and more reminiscent of their former self.
An aggressive, stern, and sometimes sadistic ruler of the realm of Hell.
How long can someone be put in a position of power before they perpetuate what they tried to stop?
Even if one attempts to better the world they were brought into through controlling the ones below them, that only makes them just like the previous leaders.
Power can drive people mad.
Those who hold great power..
Shapeshifting and RegenerationOne whose main role is to deceive and fool needs to be capable of tricking the eyes as well.
Being able to manage their form also means being able to manage the injuries to their form.. but the crest on their chest is not subject to that invulnerability.
Immortality and.. some other stuff? After losing your humanity to such a severe degree, what does age matter?
Inherenting the power of the natural monarchs of Hell leaves marks.
Once a human named Lavender, they had what could be considered a normal life. Never faced too much adversion, barely graduated from Highschool, no friends. Luckier than some. This changed at a rather sudden time. Lavender was attacked one day by someone who she never got to know. Despite that, through a turn of luck, she was able to get a scrap of metal from the ground and defended herself.. but killed the attacker in the process. Ridden with guilt and a fear of persecution, she had ran upwards onto a tall building, jumped off.. and woke up in Hell. Apparently, just like in the most iconic renditions of Hell, suicide counts as a sin. How unlucky. Lavender was horrified to find this out, but now there was no going back.
Sinners are always given one fate when they arrive; they're assigned to the pits to be tortured for eternity. Despite that, Lavender got lucky. The pits were understaffed. They offered her, alongside some unknown fellow sinners the position of torturing alongside natural demons, and for obvious reasons, she accepted it. Now immortal and in a demonic position as a sinner, she was able to get a look at how things worked in this new world.
It was like a real job. A bad one. Incredibly long "hours", before you had a relatively short break. It was almost like the torturers were just as tortured as the sinners. It disgusted Lavender. She knew she had to do something.. so she did.
The queen of Hell at the time, Inferna, was incredibly egotistical. --Thought she didn't need any protection. Though sinners were immortal and stuck in Hell forever, natural-born demons aren't. Inferna had a daughter and heir named Briastine, who was around the age mentally of a middle-aged teenager. They'd occasionally visit the pits either to flaunt their status or to watch the sinners with entertainment. Seeing that the ones in charge either were immature and careless, she came up with a plan.
She found a perfect moment and slipped away from the crowd of workers, and snuck towards the castle. While it may seem that that should be impossible in a place like Hell, it truly wasn't. It seemed like only true defense of the palace was the intimidation factor of the monarchs. Lavender had her pitchfork in hand and snuck through the castle. Eventually, she found the sleeping quarters of both Inferna and Briastine. Using her pitchfork, she killed both of them in their sleep as swiftly as possible.
Now without a monarch NOR an heir, Hell would have a problem. Even though the tyrants were gone, they had no one to replace them. So Lavender took the crown off of Inferna's head and placed it on her own head, deciding that she'd make herself the new leader. This also had consequences.
No one really objected to the new procedure. There was no protocol for if both heirs died in the first place, so there was nothing to fall back on except for this. Some saw it as almost honorary, considered Lavender did in-fact kill them. So she stayed in the position. Over time though, Lavender began to lose herself.
The crown would speak to her like it had its own mind. She was inherenting insane powers beyond what she even thought was real little by little. Demons respected her.. and most importantly, she was physically changing. Her skin was becoming redder, growing taller, eyes turning yellow. Her shirt wasn't really a shirt anymore; it was sort of melting into a bug-like chestplate. Her hair was becoming long and crimson. As she was losing herself physically, she was losing herself mentally as well.
She became crueler, louder, and more aggressive in general. She was beginning to forget details about her human life, and eventually, she was forgetting details about her work as a torturer as well. She had become an entirely different person.
In modern day, Lavender is Devil. They've forgotten the name Lavender and get anxious just hearing it uttered again. They have as much power as one could desire and a kingdom to rule. Speaking of Inferna or Brinstine is taboo and avoided by everyone below Devil. No one will replace Devil, as Devil is still immortal-- one of the only remaining traits from before they took over by force. They have become what they tried to stop.
- Devil loves spicy foods
- They are very fond of cats, and sometimes exhibit cat-like behavior
- They do not use their pitchfork anymore. Instead, he uses a large spade-like spear.
- Devil regenerates from injuries in real-time, but can be staggered or incapacitated temporarily for sure by a good strike or stab to the crest on his chest.
- They have a true scary form, visible in their reference sheet :)
- The castle is very gothic and extravagant-- the way Devil likes it.
