backstory

goyo lives in a large insulated underwater structure way at the bottom of the abyssal zone that houses a bunch of silly sea people. e attended private school during er childhood and grew up with a general appreciation for the arts. e were quite athletic as well, taking on a few different activities and ending up with an array of different hobbies, including swimming, cycling, volleyball, arm wrestling, collecting, camping, woodworking, acting, reading, and playing percussion. they are not so good with activities that focus on fine motor skills.

they found a following, almost on accident, through their drumming. they dedicated more of their time to this skill thereafter. eventually they became fairly well known in their own little niche of the jazz scene. they took an interest in noela and al almost a decade after barnegat had left. e entered a relationship with them and offered to be their percussionist.

goyo befriended barnegat after he had made amends with noela and al, and the four of them are collectively in the jazz band 👍🤠
