You can’t run away forever.

Hyo-jin is... different. Dabbling in transmutation magic, he accidentally corrupted his body, giving him a monster's maw and making him into something... not quite human. He frequently hops dimensions to stay hidden. Hyo-Jin stays mostly in his own special pocket dimension, where he can stay safe and hidden from the rest of humanity. He cannot speak due to his impossibly long tongue, which is prehensile and can stretch to ridiculous lengths. He "speaks" with a notepad that he always carries with him, although he only speaks to his boyfriend unless absolutly necessary. He seems not to fully understand humans anymore, but he's very affectionate and learns quickly. He is still an adept mage, and retains all of the knowledge that he had before corruption.

Hyo-Jin left behind his family, running away before they could see his corrupted state. He does not discuss it, though it seems that he misses them. His pocket dimension takes the form of a lavish, cozy living room. It appears to be in a wooden cabin, and snow can be seen through the windows, but there are no exits. There is a couch in front of the fireplace with soft blankets and pillows, and the whole thing is lit with soft, conjured lights. However, this room had no form before Hyo-Jin's boyfriend was brought there for the first time, and presumably he created the cozy space just to make him more comfortable with the ordeal. He does not need to eat, although there is a stockpile of food just for his boyfriend. He has asked Hyo-Jin whether or not the room was modelled after his old home, but Hyo-Jin never answers.
