Phoenix isn't called Phoenix without reason. He's called that because he always manages to rise from the ashes and seems to "never die". This isn't a particularly good thing for Phoenix however, as he's wracked with extreme survivor's guilt.

Phoenix might not show it, with his quiet coolness, but he's actually an anxious wreck. Constantly fretting, worrying about "what ifs". He masks it with his quietness. His coldness sometimes comes off as rude but it's not rudeness in the slightest.
