when hes in an environment thats more comforting rather than suffocating, hes a huge drama king.
Which is like, because he had to grow up in an environment where he kept his guard up at all times to avoid scrutiny and couldn't take any chance to relax and be himself. So by the time he gets to college, it takes him a bit but eventually he's the one gathering people around to hang out and have music jams or to study or "Hey I literally made the coolest fucking bike, so you know how quantum mechanics tend to involve things that arent really concievable to the regular human brain, well since MAGIC is a thing, I decided ot find out what's actually possible and whats just plain speculation (to the extent of my knowledge) and built this.
