Ironically for such a sun-blessed being, Palomino is actually rather shy and only flies in case of emergency. When unthreatened, it scuttles timidly around the forest, basking in uncovered glades and soaking up so many golden rays they now gleam like a new-minted coin. They act rather like a defensive lizard, skittering away from provocation and gulping down small creatures imprudent enough to get close. Despite its fearfulness, they will fight when challenged and can deliver a nasty burn to whoever gets hold of them. Otherwise, it's a rather peaceful life and they get on with their pattering sylvan business undisturbed.
