Zas

Backstory:

Many years ago, a half orc male stumbled upon a remote wooded Naga village. He stayed for several days, drinking and trying to gain access to the treasures the Naga were known to be hiding.. The locals found his appearance unappealing as they had far different beauty standards. Unfortunately, this lead to the father raping the snake women before leaving when his life was threatened by locals.

Zas' mom was well liked in his village but died after giving birth. Reluctantly, the village raised him but were extremely lax in terms of supervision. As he gets older he gets a place to live on his own and the locals give him lessons in magic as to keep him in line (just another way to have control over him as they perceived him with fear, caution, and disgust). Having few, if any, friends, when he got old enough he began to work as a local guard for some of the Naga's treasure. His muscular stature made this an easy job to get especially as the locals were quick to want to cast him out, give him a remote home, and have to see him even less as he then lived on the outskirts of the village.

While working one day, the village was attacked by what he didn't think to perceive as enemies. Dragons with scaled riders came with seemingly little goal besides decimating his home. Not wanted to die in the attack like his neighbors, he did not investigate but hide (without leaving his station). Thankfully, the treasure was well enough hidden that he was left relatively unbothered.

Packing up what he can carry on his back, he leaves his forest in search of vengeance. The Naga were all he knew and vowed to avenge the deaths of those who raised him. Zas also vowed for vengeance against his home and the local ecosystems as they had been destroyed in the attack. Finally, since he was a boy, he had a goal to track down and kill his father if he weren't already dead, so he hopes to one day also encounter him.

Around his neck he wears the arrowhead of an arrow that was shot at him in the attack. It was the only arrow that had come so close to him, and he had been able to distract away from the hiding spot while taking out the enemy. Still, he keeps it as a reminder and as an admission of guilt.
