Muriel is a moon elf who grew up in the outskirts of a sleepy seaside town with her "uncle" Sorrel, a troll who was a long time friend of her mother's. Her mother died a long time ago and she doesn't know who her father is. Since she was raised by an outsider, and moon elves are highly elusive, she doesn't know much about elven culture.

She loves crabs, and won't eat them, although any other sea creature is fair game. She loves fishing and she can make a pretty decent seafood boil, which she likes to pair with a big mug of ale. 

She is acrobatic, very nimble and she delivers fast and painful punches and kicks. Unlike most elves she doesn't care for using magic.

Muriel isn't very religious, but is still thankful for the moon and its gifts. Its power over the tides is what is most important to her.
