Konrad has a very… specific personality. Usually, he acts silly and jokes about everything, not being serious for most of the time. This, however, doesn’t mean he’s incompetent and bad at his job – quite the opposite, Konrad is very dutiful, although in other ways than Michał or the other steigers.

Konrad Strejkowski is a side character in A Ballad About Silesia during the 1980s arc. He’s another steiger at the “Wieczorek” coal mine and a colleague of Michał. Konrad and his family come from the city of Łódź, but they moved to Katowice when he was younger. He’s the youngest steiger at the coal mine currently, at the age of 41. He often banters with Michał.

Konrad was born on March 23rd, 1945 to Konrad Jakub Strejkowski and Erna Strejkowska. He was born in Łódź, but they moved to Katowice when he was 14. He has older brother and two younger sisters. After finishing the education and the compulsory national service, he began working at the “Wieczorek” coal mine, as his family lived in an apartment in Nikiszowiec. At the age of 36 he became a steiger.
