Coral

Appearance:
Eye Colour: Blue.
Skin Tone: Pale.
Height: 160cm.

Coral has a curvy body with wide hips, and long, delicate eyelashes. She always wears fashionable gear, and is very conscious of how her outfit works together. She loves to wear skirts and soft colours.

Coral's wavy tentacles are a result of her genetics. She has more spots on her tentacles than the average inkling, with the spots even appearing on her fringe. This is also a genetic trait that runs in her family. She is almost always seen with her hair tied in some fashionable style; she is rarely seen with her hair down.

Personality:
One of the freshest and most popular squids at Humboldt High, Coral is known by everyone at the school ground, for better or worse. Her keen eye for fashion and gossip make are what make her popular, and she is worshiped among her peers as some kind of fashion goddess. Though she dreams of being an idol like the massively popular Squid Sisters, she also participates in Turf Wars and is one of the founding members of Team Splat Storm.

Not only is she the squid who all the girls want to hang out with, she is also the squid who all the guys want to date. Coral is a huge flirt and will flirt with any guy who looks her way, and many, if not all, of the guys have fallen for her at some point. Surprisingly, she has never dated anyone. It has become a challenge amongst guys to be the first person to go out on a date with Coral. She uses this infatuation to her advantage, especially on the battlefield where she is ruthless. She has earned the nickname "The Smiling Assassin" for a reason.

She's a stickybeak and is well known for putting her nose in places it's not wanted. If there is any gossip going around, Coral knows all the details. She can also be rather persistent, so if she thinks you know some gossip, she won't stop until she gets what she wants. She's also a bit of a meddler, and will but in on things to try and "help". More often than not, however, her help is more like a hindrance.

While more independent thinking inklings may describe Coral as shallow, the truth is she keeps a lot inside and doesn't share with anybody. As such, she often comes across as shallow and self centered when talking to her. Only her closest friends, Sandy, Marina and Violet, ever get to see the real Coral.     

Backstory:
Coral's childhood was relatively normal, despite coming from a wealthy family. Her father owned a company, so they were able to afford things that the average inkling may not. However, when Coral was only 10, the company went bankrupt and the family fell into debt. No longer able to live their upper-class lifestyle, her family moved to an apartment and Coral moved schools, enrolling in the same school as her cousin Sandy. Since, her mother and father's relationship has become increasingly strained, and as such, Coral tries to stay out as much as she can. She mostly comes home to make sure her younger sister, Sparkle, is okay.

Strengths:
Coral is a support player, placing beakons around the map for her teammates to jump to. She assists pushes by flanking the opponents and attacking from behind, or by going in with a partner to gang up on an opponent. With her splat roller, she can paint large areas quickly, providing room for her teammates to move.

Weaknesses:
Though the splat roller is an excellent melee weapon, Coral struggles in head-on encounters. The limited range of her weapon makes it easy for others to shoot her down on approach, so she prefers taking the sneaky route. If Coral cannot catch an opponent off guard, she more often than not gets splatted.

Fun Facts:

  Despite being a fairly good singer, she has had little musical education and can’t read music very well. She would like to play the piano but has never had the chance to take lessons.
 Her first weapon was actually the Splatterscope, as she wanted to use chargers like her idol Marie, but she was ill suited to the weapon. She fell in love with the roller as soon as she tried it, and hasn’t played anything else since.
 Is most likely to be able to name a song on the radio.
