In her younger years, Jay had a tough life growing up in her hometown, the Outskirts, doing her best to make ends meet with her older brother. Once her Uncle took her and her brother in, she had a somewhat more comfortable life between Highwind and Atara. In her adult years, she became a strong, dependable builder. Yet despite that, she felt she needed to do more in her life. After an arguement with her Uncle, she saw Sandrock was in need of builders and she took this opportunity to try something new.
