CHARACTER HISTORY: born in the French countryside to his Russian mother and French father, before moving to Russia at the age of 10. he was a quiet and studious child, often venturing out to find and preserve bugs. His family was broken, with his mother being often absent and his father being consistently ill, Ivan took to ‘talking’ to the bugs he caught, and when the bugs started whispering back, he was hardly surprised.
