Profile

Flavie Valren
❝What, did I scare you?❞
- girl/20/libra -

☆ Date of Birth ☆
october 2nd

☆ Orientation ☆
panromantic, demisexual

☆ Pronouns ☆
she/her

☆ Species ☆
vampire/sylph/???

☆ Occupation ☆
student

☆ Appearance ☆
❝Airy enough to be a ghost, pale enough to make a corpse jealous.❞

At least in appearance, Flavie is true to both her sylph and vampiric heritage. Solely betrayed by her gray complexion and twin fangs, there's no mistaking her for anything but inhuman. Flavie hardly seems to mind; in fact, she wholeheartedly embraces the shock her appearance tends to instill in humans. Aside from her fangs, Flavie looks remarkably harmless. With a charming smile and innocent eyes, it's hard to imagine how devilish she can truly be, and subsequently many underestimate how potentially frightening her demeanor and conduct is.
Truly a tiny terror, the lissome Flavie stands at an unimposing 4’10. Her silky white hair almost matches her in height, reaching down to mid-calf, and always seems to sway and rise as if influenced by a slight and perpetual breeze. Her eyes are so dark in color that it's difficult to distinguish her pupils from her irises, and she tends to display her teeth through a waggish grin. Small,  cute, and entirely innocuous--that is, until you get to know her.

☆ Personality ☆
❝disarming, bubbly, impish, child-like
 bothersome, morbid, animated, tantrum-prone.

Flavie is, by very nature, disquieting. From her uncanny ability to appear from thin air to her lack of restraint in regard to all things gory, Flavie is either unaware or entirely fine with how thouroughly shocking she can be. She looks cute as can be, but there are quite a few figurative (and probably literal) skeletons in her closet. She'll babble about bloodshed with morbid glee and shock friends and strangers alike with her flippant and disrespectful approach towards death. Anything she does is riddled with violence to an obnoxious degree. Making bouquets? Expect it to be composed entirely of dead flowers. Making paper snowflakes? She'll cut it out into a skull. Writing poetry? Get ready for gore and violence. For whatever reason, Flavie is just obsessed with all things dark and macarbe, and she goes out of her way to express her concerning tastes to all around her.

☆ History ☆
Flavie may have taken on the Valren name, but she is not at all related to the family by blood. The vampiric heritage she shares in common with the Valrens is entirely coincidental. Considering that sylphs are, by nature, brood parasites, this makes sense; Flavie was tucked away into the care of the Valren family and raised as one of them.

☆ History ☆
Flavie is, to put it bluntly, a monster, and a particularly gruesome one at that. It's not her stature, manner of speaking, or even her personality--those are arguably charming traits (aside from her affinity for the morbid). What makes her species so vile is that they are brood parasites--sylph eggs are laid inside a preexisting baby, and the parasite consumes to infant from the inside out until all that is left is the sylph. They also produce a pheromone that makes their host's parents unconditionally affectionate and devoted to the parasite. Once the parasite reaches three years of age it looses the ability to create this pheromone, but because of conditioning, the parents are still highly affectionate towards it. Usually parents vehemently deny that anything is different about their precious baby and refuse to believe that it was been replaced, or worse yet, used as a meal for someone else's young.
