Yanjing

It's an unknown creature to all. At night, there would be sightings of "eyes" (the tails) watching and stalking others. Some suspected it was a peacock because of its tails, some thought it was a demon trying to look and dress like a person, and some thought it was a monkey. It never really shows itself and is quite shy, and usually eats fruits. Though not many others know that. People say that seeing it is a sign of bad luck and that its tails would seperate from its body and turn into some odd small creatures walking around. Apparently one person died due to an accident a day after seeing it, so superstition arose
