Backstory: She grew up in a seaside village with her mom and dad, who had retired as adventurers to live in an old lighthouse. She loved hearing stories from her parents adventuring days and would love listening to her mom's bedtime stories. Her mother passed away when she was young which led to her father being overprotective and worried about Melody getting hurt. This caused a strained relationship with her father and with the other villagers. Melody dreamed of becoming a hero and helping others which was exasperated when she discovered she could use magic. Her father didn't want her using the magic until she was ready and didn't want her leaving the village. Melody was tired of always being stuck at the lighthouse and finally snuck out one day to make her own way in life.
