When PetalKit was first born, her ears were folded in and shaped much like a petal, hence how she got her name. Always curious and a bit featherbrained, she was a dreamer from day one who loved to explore as far outside of the nursery as her little paws could go before being dragged back in. Her favorite thing to do was to gather any new plants she came across and bring them back to the nest and show them off to her mother. She’d play a lot with the other kits in the nursery, but she wouldn’t start to form close friendships until after her apprentice ceremony.
When PetalPaw became an apprentice, it was clear to her mentor that she was a bit of an airhead and had trouble focusing when it came to learning about combat and hunting. However PetalPaw excelled in patrolling and identifying things so not all hope was lost. During this time PetalPaw got closer with MossyPaw and RavenPaw, the trio becoming best friends.
It was only two months into her apprenticeship when the healer at the time, VoleTuft, went missing for a few weeks. During that time, the healer apprentice, SorrelPaw, was under a lot of pressure trying to tend to cats with her limited knowledge while also gathering herbs, so PetalPaw decided she’d lend a paw and offer to gather things while SorrelPaw focused on tending to cats. It was upon VoleTuft’s return that PetalPaw was made into a healer apprentice alongside SorrelPaw and the two began their journey to becoming healers while VoleTuft recovered.
PetalSpring and SorrelMouse were appointed official healers the day it was decided VoleTuft would have to retire due to her injuries. Being made healers at only 10 moons old, it was a lot to put on their shoulders but together they learned how to share the load. It was also during this time that PetalSpring started seeing RavenPaw, now a warrior named RavenSky, entering the healers den for small injuries a lot; a suspicious amount of injuries. Whenever he was in the den, he took any opportunity to chat with her. Before long their friendship started to turn into something more. When both of them reached about 25 moons old, RavenSky asked PetalSpring to be his mate and gifted her the swallowtail butterfly wing she now wears to which she eagerly agreed. He was kind, caring, and everything she ever wished for in a partner. He supports her in everything she does and makes sure that she is taking care of herself and when she can’t, he does.
