- CHILDHOOD - Beck was born a very small babe, weak at birth and was a struggle to raise to full health in the first few months of his life. He was born to Brook and Summit Cevchek, second only to his older brother Barrow. He was quiet as a child, nonverbal until he received his bead. He started speaking in small words and sentences between usage of sign language, but eventually graduated to full speech around the age of 10. Besides that, he grew up with a somewhat normal childhood, growing and playing with his brother. Together they caused lots of trouble for their parents, as young boys usually do. - - TEENAGE/YOUNG ADULT YEARS - Eventually, Beck learned about creatures and the art of hunting, and a fascination grew. While his brother Barrow was working hard to achieve his own goals, Beck was busy learning all he could about the natural world. He slowly grew distant, spending less time with his family and more time locked in his room studying and out exploring. Around the age of 20, he decided to pack up his things and leave Wellstone to move to Dula Dula. He foolishly chose not to share much information about his move, though, simply leaving behind a note for his parents and a slightly longer letter to his brother. The note assured them that he was safe and knew what he was doing, and his plans. The letter contained somewhat more information, including revealing to Barrow that he had a secret pen-pal (definitely a lover) that he had gone to join with in the Hunter's Guild. Over the years, Beck sent only a few letters informing his family about his life. What they got was: He was miserable with the jungle, he'd fallen out of love with his partner but chose to marry him anyway, and he had almost been killed several times by beasts he'd attempted hunting. Even with letters from his mother demanding he return home, Beck remained in the jungle. He did enjoy it, even if he hated the humidity and some of the people around him. Beck learned more than he ever thought possible, and was thriving in his hobbies and being in the Hunter's Guild. - - PRESENT DAY - Presently, Beck is still in Dula Dula, and is far happier after divorce, and is now doing his own thing. He hunts animals, much like the older members of the Guild, but keeps a strange collection of remains and taxidermy mounts instead of disposing of remains normally. Easy to say, his home has some extremely unique decor. After his sister-in-law's death, he got back in touch with his older brother Barrow. Their reunion was a little bittersweet, seeing how Beck had known Barrow's wife Winnie, and because they hadn't seen one another in quite some time. They spend much more time together again now that Barrow has joined the Guild, and Beck is impressed with his tenacity and ability to hunt. Beck also loves his niece Whitaker, excited to one day take her on adventures and show her how to hunt. He knows that for now she is small and delicate, and he is not allowed to babysit for any reason. (Too many sharp tools in his house and he has no idea how to look after a child)
