Born to King Bison and Queen Quail, an only child to the royals, Quail babied her child. When Dog Ear eventually slipped away from her kingdom to get away from being sheltered and explore the territory early, she found Tipsy, another cat who lived out of bounds. They quickly became friends and through visiting Tipsy, unbeknownst to themselves or anyone, Dog Ear became immune to a virus that would unknowingly wipe out a majority of her kingdom.

Growing up and being born a tom, Dog Ear never felt like herself when addressed by male pronouns, and being sheltered by her mom made her feel like she couldn’t explain herself because she didn’t believe that this was normal. It was through meeting Tipsy and talking it out with her that Dog Ear explained to her parents that she was a female and wanted to go by female pronouns.

Dog Ear grew up with her peers and life seemed to be okay, until the neighboring Kingdom Inferno had asked for King Bisons’ help when their kingdom had fallen on hard times. It was through helping them that some scouts accidentally brought back a sickness that cost both kingdoms many lives, including Dog Ears parents. Thrusted into leadership incredibly early, Dog Ear felt incredibly pressured to help her kingdom but not knowing how or where to start, and that left her feeling overwhelmed and terrified that she would fail her kingdom.

With many lives lost and not being well trained in leadership, Dog Ear did the best to keep out of any battles or conflicts with the other 2 kingdoms. Focusing on rebuilding, Dog Ear neglected having patrols on far parts of the territory, leaving Cyclone to take over part of it. Many questioned if she should be in charge because of her age and inexperience, rocking her confidence.

Most recently, the leader of Inferno, Ash, called a meeting with Dog Ear. Ash had a plea with Dog Ear, to accept the last of his remaining Kingdom into her kingdom for he believed that without joining them, Inferno would die out. Shocked at this, Dog Ear talks it out with her Delegates and agrees to take in the remaining cats of Inferno. This was a very surprising and controversial decision, as many cats of Dog Ears kingdom blamed the cats of Inferno for destroying their own kingdom but Dog Ear silenced these sayings. The kingdom of Inferno did not cause the virus that decimated both kingdoms, nor did they want their own kingdom so suffer lose let alone Dog Ears kingdom. Ash stepped down as leader of Inferno upon joining, and he now works with Dog Ear to help her become more successful in leadership.

Upon combining the two kingdoms, they renamed themselves Kingdom of Ambush. Despite the backlash Dog Ear received from combining the two kingdoms, there were upsides to it. The extra cats bumped the kingdom to a normal amount that is equal to the other kingdoms. And with the extra paws, Ambush was able to take back their territory from Cyclone. This did hint to the Kingdom of Cyclone and Cataclysm what the other two kingdoms had done, but neither kingdom cared too much about the merge. It did not threaten their borders or show problems with being overpopulated, so they left them be. For now.
