Jun Yang’s family has quite the reputation and owns multiple big name companies in Mainland China. Because of his family’s status, Jun Yang had a well-off childhood. He was sent to the best daycare there was in the city. He was practically raised at daycare unlike his older brother, Jun Xiu, who was always with their parents. Jun Yang is pretty estranged from his parents due to not being around them constantly. Jun Xiu would always be the one to pick Jun Yang up from daycare and the brothers had a pretty close relationship. After he stopped going to daycare he was taken care of by the maid at home. There was obvious favoritism between Jun Yang and Jun Xiu, but Jun Yang never hated his brother for getting more attention from their parents. Jun Xiu was his only close family member and he cherished that bond. Jun Yang did always envied other kids at school with a close relationship with their parents, wishing his parents also treated him with affection.

Jun Yang kept living with his estranged parents until he was around 15 where he got sent to a boarding school in Beijing without his consent. He began questioning why his parents were so cold to him, suffering from depression because of it. He still kept close contact with Jun Xiu and his brother became his only comfort. However, Jun Yang’s attitude towards Jun Xiu did a 180 when he reached his last year in high school. He began shunning his brother and grew distant to him, blaming Jun Xiu for keeping an important secret from him. Jun Yang then applied for university in Lynahu to get away from this suffocating environment.

He was able to find a decent apartment, sharing a complex with his landlord Kyler Hughs. Although Jun Xiu followed Jun Yang to keep tabs on his troublesome little brother, Jun Yang still refuses to acknowledge him. Closed off and anti-social, Jun Yang one day came across an interesting app titled "Ai Messenger." Interested and bored, he downloaded the app not expecting the journey he was about to experience after installing it.
