Hanako falling asleep as Wilbur is working late again.
Childhood
Hanako is Wilbur’s only daughter, born from a one-night stand. She has no idea who her mother is, but she doesn’t mind as she has two dads; Wilbur and his Hisuian Decidueye, Riko, take good care of her. Thankfully, Hanako is a Pokémon like Wilbur, so she understands Riko's speech. Even if Wilbur is extra busy, as he’s now a professor focusing on Pokémon from the past (Riko inspired him to do so), Hanako enjoys her home life.
Hanako spent most of her childhood with Hector, Emerence’s son. The Melum and Akai families are very close, so she's got a big brother with Hector! They often travel back and forth between Paldea and Galar. Hanako is also friends with Arven, Professor Turo’s son. Professor Turo is Wilbur’s colleague and they spend long hours working together on Pokémon from the past and future. So they let their kids spend time together, even if they don’t get along as their personalities clash a lot. But, Hanako still likes him! She’s an easy and naive girl who likes everyone.
Orange Islands Arc - ONGOING
Before her Uva Academy journey started, Hanako was pleased to see her father freeing some of his time, so his family and himself could spend some quality time together. As such, the Akai family visited the land of Kitakami. Over there, Hanako became friends with a boy named Kieran, and that’s when she learned of the existence of the Blueberry Academy. With Kieran, she also learned many things, including the legends of Kitakami and the existence of the Pokémon named Applin. Before she left, she promised to come see him again next summer.
When the vacations ended, Hanako attended Uva Academy with Celesta and Hector, and she caught Nemona’s attention, as she seems to have potential as a Pokémon trainer. To be continued.
