(from discord) To cut to the chase: Uncast Shadows had really awful citizens, up to and particularly in terms of governance. It started right after sier activation. The conflict was simple: sie didn't want to work on the great problem. Uncast didn't understand why sie was meant to do all that instead of observing the world around sier and socializing with people and other iterators.
It isn't that Uncast Shadows is against the idea of working in general but the way it was presented to sier wasn't convincing. It was like arguing with a wall. This was unthinkable, and there was little attempt to appeal, to explain. Reassertions that "you should do this because it is your purpose". Uncast only became more rebellious and stubborn in response.
It was a bad case of failure to communicate, and only got worse because those in charge decided they could reach the iterator through discipline. [I don't have a concrete idea of Why it went on like that, but] he had a very, very bad time under the first government of his city. Eventually power changed hands, the votes stopped going toward the loud minority who must have hated iterators (or Cas in specific). But the damage was done, and it would never, ever come to trust the race who created it.
good and bad administrations passed, mostly just unmemorable and mediocre ones. Cas never pursued personal interests and simply served its role as the city, it let itself fade into the background. Any further attempts to make it work on the problem were not as extreme, just happened every now and then. idk again there's a lot of blank spaces.
losing his puppet though! that came from the SQS rp. pearl for a tale the evil murder virus was having a funny time, got mad as hell and broke that shit Off. as expected it just died, so now cas is his structure entirely. and we shall see where that goes
outside of the rp it mightve been something that happened near the end of the mass ascension, some sort of altercation with an ancient or a freak accident. either way hes no puppet georg
