Cherry Abebe

Born in Ethiopia, she had a fairly stable home life, with a lot of friends and family she felt extremely close to. Her school made her feel welcomed and at home. She moved to Japan with her family when she was 13, just starting to figure out who she is. This change has effected a lot of her behavior and ability to make new connections and friends. She only had one or two friends as she grew up, until she entered college.

During her time in college, she has accumulated a bit of a reputation for being antisocial, lonely, and unpleasent to talk to. She stopped trying to make friends in college as she saw nobody wanted to genuinely interact with her, believing that people would only interact with her because they saw her as entertainment for her loneliness. She was the lone wolf and she embraced that about herself.

This changed in the second year of college, when a new student started attending her classes and had started interacting with her. Cherry continued to push this girl away, mildly annoyed, but the girl was determined to befriend her. Slowly they do develop a friendship and also a bit of a crush on each other. Cherry learned her name is Penelope, a single child with strict parents. Half of the year goes by until Cherry and Penelope are the closest of friends. They hung out wherever they could, walking to and from college together, and sharing their breakfasts and lunches with each other. That all until Penelope met a new friend, Payton.

Cherry, Penelope and Payton are now in an odd friendship triangle. Cherry being jealous that Payton and Penelope are hanging out together while she has strong feelings for Penelope. She is now learning to slowly befriend Payton and to make new friends.
