Charlotte Merrill

Backstory

Born in the 1910’s in Britain to a British father and a French mother charlotte was born as WW1 was coming to a close, only a few years after charlotte was born her parents along with her immigrated to America where Charlotte grew up, gaining a love for cartoon and animation of the time , when Charlotte was in her early 20’s she learned of the opening of Joey Drew’s studio and applied to be part of the animation team, witch she was quickly accepted for after her meeting with Joey Drew Despite the male dominated field during the 1930s

During the early years of the studio Charlotte did her work quietly, as a shy and more quiet person she mostly kept to herself and didn’t interact much with her co workers, except one: Norman Polk. She got along quite well with the man who handled the projectors, able to find common ground in the fact they both preferred the quiet and secluded environments rather than being around the busy noise, charlotte spent a lot of her time during her employment listening to the conversations she heard from time to time if she could hear them from her desk or when she passed by, charlotte had always had a good sense for telling when someone was lying. As the studio entered its later years charlotte became more worried about things, she didn’t eavesdrop but listened from time yet things came to a climax one night when charlotte stayed late to meet a deadline and could hear the clattering that turned out to be Sammy Lawrence preparing for a sacrifice, at first he’d tried to hide it, but seeing right through him charlotte called him out, with no options he revealed his plans to her but with someone knowing the music directors plans, he acted fast and charlotte was knocked out and sacrificed before even understanding what was happening.

Arriving in the inky cycle version of the studio after being accepted by the ink charlotte awoke with a large headache yet mostly unaffected by the ink physically, as she adventured further down the studio and encountered the monsters that littered the studio her paranoia grew, until she reached the ink harbour, in an attempt to cross it her boat sunk to far from both the docks, as her ship sunk down into the ink charlotte was dragged down with it, drowning in the ink despite her struggle, waking up after being brought back by the dark puddles an unknown amount of time later. unlike when she first arrived in the cycle the inks corruption started to take hold, taking effect not just physically but mentally as well, her memory of most of these events had been wiped aside from bits and pieces that forced her to piece together what she could. Her nervous personality was effected, the inks corruption left a rather loud and uncharacteristic temper in charlotte but she managed to not become fully corrupted by the ink, and other then her affected memory, she remained sane….mostly, when pushed to the brink the corruption is able to take hold, in this state she becomes sadistic, Chasing down those nearby and attacking, but can be snapped back to sanity with a hard hit to the head, after everything she was Now left to venture the studio
