Eclipse

Eclipse appears like a calm ocean on the surface, able to stay composed even in the most dire of situations. However, what lies beneath the mask is a passionate, fiery, protective, sarcastic but fearful soul. Though Eclipse is usually a patient bat, in rare instances those who push her to her limit will see an explosion of anger that few can match, fueled by pure passion. On the opposite scale, those who stand in good graces with her will see her kind and caring (although brutally honest) side.

Introduction: Once a normal bat, Eclipse lived a sheltered life and fell into a depression, unable to find a purpose in her life. When a black hole died she was granted it's powers and became a cosmic protector who travels between different realities to defend the innocent. Initally a loner who did her work solo, it wasn't long before a certain starborn Malamute would crash into her life, changing both of their destinies forever. Chapter 1- Sweet Destruction: Initially Eclipse felt nothing but annoyance toward the starry eyed Malamute, who self declared herself to be Eclipse's rival. The bat was uninterested in such a relationship but ultimately had to stay closer then she wished because of the canines destructive habits. With centuries of cleaning up massive planetary messes weighing on Eclipse's heart while a cosmic dog flies around her constantly she let her anger build and build until one day.. She snapped. After a particularly destructive battle on Kiona's part she turned on the Malamute and attacked her with the full fury of her powers. Desperately hoping that this would finally snap Kiona out of her delusion of grandeur. After a violent battle she left her counterpart covered in blood and wounds, realizing the battle finally flipped a switch in Kiona's head she encouraged the Malamute to take time to reflect. Though her canine "rival" wasn't the only one left unchanged. Eclipse began to realize centuries of holding back her true emotions was ultimately destroying her. Perhaps she needed to open her heart up a bit more? Chapter 2 - I'll Face the Sun. After the death of a close friend, Eclipse spends centuries living on an alien planet. Whispers of the once heroic bat disappears from the multiverse and all begin to suspect her death. In these centuries she becomes a legend on this world and is even dubbed as a goddess of sorts. During this time she becomes a loner, hanging about in alleys to protect any innocent soul who wanders by. She slowly starts to explore her own emotions but is still hesitant to express herself fully. Holding on to the toxicity of her early years that forced her heart to be carefully locked. Eventually she sees her cosmic counterpart once more when the canine visits her planet,grief fills her heart when she sees the permanent marks left on the Malamute by the bats own claws, a chilling reminder of lost control and wild emotions. She hesitates to make her presence known to the colorful canine and grapples with her new, powerful and conflicting emotions of desire and guilt. Will she choose to open her heart once more to the only being who could truly understand her? Or will the maw of guilt chase her into the darkness once more?
