A young day lilidae that struggles against the will of his family and his own path. A fateful encounter with an enchanting lilidae gives him new resolve to forge his own way in life, but Kounagi's family name carries a heavy weight.

Story

Born into the prestigious Izai family, Kounagi had his share of rough upbringing. While his older brother Ouzou was set to be the next head, he was born as a dusk child and his black schlera are kept a secret as it would be an outrage if any were to find out. However, Kounagi believes Ouzou is better suited as the head due to being superior in both physical and spoken combat as well as having a gentle and unfazed demeanor. When traveling in public, Ouzou wears a blindfold and pretends he cannot see, hence why him being head is not achievable as the public lacks faith in his abilities.

Due to this, Kounagi was expected to become the head, however, his father, known as the Kaminari Izai puts his expectations on Kounagi too high. Constantly punishing him and lamenting at Ouzou's curse. The night lilidae are the natural enemies of the day lilidae. Kounagi wishes for his brother to be head so he wouldn't have to bear the burden of failing to match his skill.

The Izai family is known for their skill with summoning chi, mainly in the form of lightning. Kounagi struggles with manifesting his thunder sword with the same skill as his father. In secret, Kounagi practices and has a talent with summoning fire, but his father would never accept it in battle, so he keeps it hidden away, only sharing the truth with his brother and his best friend. 

One day, while traveling the town, shutting down any women who try to get close in hopes of obtaining fortune and power, Kounagi spotted a beautiful lilidae. He quickly fell in love and wanted to become close with her. However, after getting to know the graceful lilidae, Kounagi learns the lilidae is a boy, giving him a new struggle to overcome.

Design Points:

The flowers in his hair are actually feathers mimicking flowers. His wing frame is a sturdy material, similar to insect carapace. Please always draw him with an outfit on!!
