Profile

Appearance

Jejune has a slight build that never rounded out into anything impressive. She's short, slender, and doesn't have a figure to speak of. Her entire frame is composed of sharp angles, ears to toes.  She's come to terms with how many people call her 'young man.' It's fine, it's all fine. She's used to it.

She has sleepy looking red eyes and silver hair that she keeps cut just below chin level. All of her clothes fall along the dark grey scale.

Backstory

She grew up on a farm in the Underdark  in an isolated town cluster called Roego. She learned the value of a hard day's work there and especially learned to appreciate taking naps and relaxing. June was good at farming, but, she was even better at suddenly being next to someone who didn't realize she was there.

It wasn't until she tripped over a long abandoned warforged that she considered leaving the Underdark. She took it upon herself to clean the warforged up and get him into working shape. He wasn't so keen on talking at first, preferring to sit and sigh over being in the dark. Eventually, with enough determination and weird stories, Jejune got the glass and metal construction to open up to her.

After some awkward conversations and attempts at further bonding, the duo started to understand how the other functioned. Dirge came to accept that June was a somewhat confused, sneaky elf who could throw daggers really well just as June came to learn that Dirge was a paranoid music box with a long running list of fears and phobias ranging from water and loud noises to thunder storms. These differences helped bring the pair together, since Dirge wasn't afraid to point out when Jejune needed to focus and what she'd not paid attention to, while June found ways to make scary situations less stressful for Dirge.

With their friendship in place, the pair set out to seek their fortunes together, find some adventures, and mostly help people and express their feelings.

Additional Facts

Her specialties for performing are storytelling, poetry, and interpretive dance. She is used to performing along side Dirge, but can do solo work alright.

When Dirge performs alone, he has the melody and beat, but he does not believe his voice is good enough to sing with, so it's always instrumental. He also has very little movement and refuses to dance.

When June performs on her own, she tends to dance, tell stories, and recite poetry. She never puts her poetry to a tune without Dirge around since she has problems staying on key. Critics have described her interpretive dance as, 'intriguing,' 'full of raw emotions,' and, 'deeply unsettling.' She has described her critics as, 'fair, but harsh.'

When they work together, Dirge provides the melody while June provides the words and motion to their performance. Since they've spent so much time together, they've got a lot of routines and songs they can go through.

Jejune claims she doesn't have a last name, which is only partially true. The name Jejune is one Dirge gave her while they were traveling together. They'd agreed that it was only fair for her to get a new name, too, if she was going to go about naming Dirge. She is very proud of the name he picked out for her, even though he's apologized about it in the past.

Her given name is Nekane Soth, but Dirge and her family are the only people to know about this these days.
