She is not, in fact, a cat, but a collection of constantly-shifting abstract shapes which merely takes the appearance of a cat for the sake of being easy on the eyes.
The blue cat is the deity of apperean and creator of the universe, and she made Wander, Ambrosia, and Orca to aid her in the production of it all. Now that her work is finished, she lives out in a little house in a wheat field somewhere on the planet, unassuming and unbeknownst.
Blue isn't particularly worshipped in any degree, but her image is depicted in various cultures and civilizations as a sign of good fortune and prosperity.
