Father of Jess, and her siblings, Brandon and Samantha. Unlike his ambitious partner, Elaina, James has opted to take on the less traditional role of den-dad, rather than becoming a hunter, runner, patroller, or other rank among the pack. Even though his pups were long-since grown (that is, until Samantha came along), James remained as a permanent den-dad and was often tasked with looking after other's pups, and he enjoyed every moment of it.
